The three Stooges.
There was no end to the horseplay on the set.. One day
Catherine came back from lunch and pretended to be slightly
drunk. She was so convincing that Tim actually began
to worry that she really was drunk and we would lose the
afternoon shoot. When she broke character, we all
laughed ourselves sick. |
Me and Dick Cavett.
An early hero in my life. I played host to him the
week he shot his part in the dinner party scene. If
only I had recorded the hundreds of conver-sations I had
with this man. We still keep in touch. After the
premiere of Planet of the Apes, we had dinner at Elaine's |
Now, if this doesn't look
like a 12 year old that has just been told he's been given a
candy shop... Embarassing as this photo is to me now, it
represents my mood for the entire shoot. |

Catherine and Bo when they
first started to date. I introduced them, and when it
became obvious that Catherine had a crush. I told Bo, "It's
time to take Catherine out to dinner, and I don't mean
lunch". |

Tim giving me directions
for the upcoming scene while I snap away with my camera.
He was very tolerant of my "shutterbug" habit. |
Not every costume fitting
worked. I immediately walked over to the set and told
Tim, "Please, not these pants, they'll do all the acting."
We got simpler, which made a stronger image. I didn't
want Otho to be a complete clown. |

With this character,

Jane is many
things to me personally. First, a loyal, loving and caring
friend. Secondly we met while she was acting as unit
photographer on Beetlejuice and have shared many years of
beautiful memories. Jane is a magnificent photographer
currently archiving a countless collection of slides. She
works in several formats and shares her llife with Patty, a
top landscape architect and architect in general . They live
in the hills of Hollywood in a unique home they have
recently renovated inside and out. They love to travel and
I have a campaign to have them as house guests in my old
Victorian in small town Alabama. We talk every week and I
treasure these conversations. Oh how I love this brilliant
and kind lady. |
Brilliant
work-a-holic who has enhanced several Tim Burton films and
themed many a T.V. Show. WE were friends until he refused
to do a 5 minute interview for my site because" He had"
better things to do presently than dwell on the past" Poor
Danny, he wear's arrogance like a snobby Fox. The least
friendly and egomaniacal of the otherwise exquisite
Beetlejuice collaborators. Hope he mellows and realizes how
simple it is to be brilliant without being a cocky asshole.
He will be a happier fellow and bearable to be
around. |
