BILLY RAY BREWTON was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, raised in Pisgah, Alabama, and educated in Birmingham, Alabama, where he now works as a writer/director/producer/actor on both stage and screen. He founded Theatre Downtown in 2006 and has directed numerous productions including: "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?", "The Pillowman", "Night, Mother", "Glengarry Glen Ross" and "The 13th Friday: Ready, Set, Die!", which he also wrote. He is one-half of Digital Motion Pictures, an award-winning film production company responsible for "The Whore That Wouldn't Die!", "Waiting Room" and "Darkness on the Edge of Town". Billy Ray has also been a syndicated film critic for six years.
In January 2009, Billy Ray will be directing The History Boys in which Glenn will be starring along with an outstanding ensemble cast. Glenn will be making his return to Birmingham community theater for the first time since his ground breaking role as Emory in The Boys in the Band which was produced at Birmingham Festival Theater in 1973.
