Paul
Jennings
Paul Jennings forgot to check the oil
in his aging Porsche when he headed west for California in 1977. He tore
out of Mobile and made it to Tyler Texas before his poor car exploded and
died. Paul sold what he couldn't carry on a plane and arrived at
my apartment in The Bryson Hotel with four dollars left to start a new
life in Lotus Land. We bought a bottle of Southern Comfort with the four
bucks (I chipped in) and made plans to conquer the west. Twenty two years
later Paul lives on a lovely ranch in Malibu with four horses, five dogs,
and two Llamas. Along with his career as Public Beauty and a demanding
social life, Paul works in the bone marrow unit at Children's Hospital
in Los Angeles. When this picture was taken November 21, 1990, Paul was
listening to Hermoine Gingold's "Laisions" from "A Little Night Music".
Mr Jennings recently purchased a new all terrain vehicle and he assures
me the oil will be checked and changed on a regular basis, although he
still feels autos should be satisfied with full tank of gas and a nice
hand wash and wax.
