Sandy Martin

Sandy Martin
Sandy Martin is the kind of woman that can co-star in a movie, produce a play, teach an acting class, run a major Star's production company, move into a new house, and find homes for three stray dogs -- all in the same week. And then throw a party for two hundred people on the Saturday night and get up and read four scripts on Sunday. You may think I exaggerate her capacities. I don't. This is one hell of a Dame. And Dame is the right word, and in it's very best sense. There is no one like Sandy Martin.  I promise.

We met at The Matrix theater in 1978 and have been through a lot in the ensuing years. I've watched her in action and seen her tested in a wide array of situations. She is without bullshit. Anyone who can call her a friend is indeed blessed. She treats everybody the same and when times are tough she fights like a tigress.

When the above clock photo was taken April 29,1990 Sandy was listening to Lyle Lovett's "Take Back My Heart." This lady will always have mine.
