For 19 years I was under the delusion that Jane's Clock Photo was up and in this Series done in 1990. While going through the archived photographs I came across after my house burned, I saw the photo above and STILL thought it was on my site. There are a number of photographs from the series that never made it up for one reason or another and I am playing catch up--I'm late but its all about time anyway isn't it? Timing may not be everything but it does make a difference.
Jane was Unit Production Photographer for BEETLEJUICE and we have remained close and speak weekly and sometimes daily and talk about photography all the time so this makes my oversight even more egregious or maybe erie is the better word...At any rate Jane is an extremely talented artist and her work can be viewed at http://www.dnjgallery.net . Jane is now working in large format photography and has some amazing new work. I will update on my news page when her current work is shown. I've seen a lot of it and it blows me away.
Unfortunately my journal that detailed the dates each photograph was taken and the song that was playing was lost to the house fire. I do, however remember it was a tune by Canada's COWBOY JUNKIES that was playing on the stereo. Yes stereo. I still had records made of hard black shellac in 1990. Had some CD's too but had not yet completely converted-----today I have two thousand songs on an iPod the size of a silver dollar. Yes, there once were silver dollars!!
I love you Jane O'Neal and I am so glad this photograph is in the series and no longer just in my mind...
