Mari Gorman was listening to Lou Reed and John Cales' "Open House" when I took this picture August 23rd 1990.  Miss Gorman is an accomplished stage actress and has had numerous film and television credits. For me she was an incredible teacher, director, and friend. I was fortunate to be a part of her Strox Theater Company in the early '80's and performed in her production of "Cries For Peace" in 1982. Mari recently returned to Manhattan and I had an afternoon in Soho with this remarkable woman in November of '98.  A producer,writer,director,actress- Mari is also a deeply spiritual and caring human being. I especially admire her fearlessness.
